Mexican singer, icon, and one of the most successful artists in Latin American history, Luis Miguel, will bring his tour to San Antonio this August. The ¡México Por Siempre! Tour will stop at the AT&T Center on Thursday, August 30th.
The Puerto Rican-born singer Luis Miguel has delighted fans since 1980 with powerful vocals, style and a natural charisma within the Latin genre. As a young man, Luis watched and analyzed everything related to Elvis, including film and concert recordings and music videos. This influenced his first album, Un Sol, which Miguel released at the age of 11.
Un Sol proved to be the catalyst for Miguel’s tremendous career and would lead to countless tours. To date, he has released 22 albums and has won five Grammy Awards and four Latin Grammy Awards. Having won his first Grammy at fourteen years of age, he remains the youngest male artist in music history to have received the award.
Miguel’s extensive international tour schedule has earned him millions of fans worldwide. His 2010 self-titled tour took the artist to 22 countries in North America, South America, and Europe, where he performed 223 shows over a three-year span. The tour remains the longest and highest grossing tour ever delivered by a Latin artist.
